Eagle Talon

Mechanical twin to the Eclipse GSX/TSi. Built in Normal, Illinois, alongside the Plymouth Laser. The Talon TSi AWD used the legendary 4G63 turbo and same drivetrain. Many parts are interchangeable. The Talon is often lighter and rarer than the Eclipse.

Plymouth Laser

The upscale DSM variant with unique front and rear styling. Available with the same turbo 4G63 and AWD. Rare today; a pure Eclipse clone with a slightly softer suspension tune. Only produced for 5 years.

Honda Prelude

The Prelude SH with ATTS (active torque transfer) was a direct competitor to the Eclipse GSX. High‑revving H22A4 produced 200 hp, FWD only, but handled like a dream with its double wishbone suspension. The 5th gen is the most sought‑after.

Toyota Celica GT-S

Lightweight, high‑revving 1.8L with VVTL‑i (variable valve lift). 180 hp, 6‑speed, and exceptional balance. Not turbo but a spiritual rival to the Eclipse GT. The GT-S also had a limited‑slip differential.

Acura Integra GS-R

The 1.8L VTEC made 170‑195 hp. Lightweight FWD coupe, hugely tunable. Rival to Eclipse RS/GS. The Type R (JDM) is the ultimate version with 195 hp and a helical LSD.

Nissan 240SX

RWD, 2.4L KA24DE. Not AWD, but the sport coupe market overlapped. Drift favorite. The S14 chassis offered better handling and more modern looks.
